Bronze Arts Award students complete an arts workshop with Year 3 Minster School pupils.
On Tuesday 14th November 22 Giles Academy Bronze Arts Award students from Year 8 and Year 7 completed an arts workshop with Year 3 Minster School pupils. The workshop took place in our Charter of the Forest exhibition in the Chapter House of Lincoln Cathedral. The workshop involved creating two large forest footpaths with fallen leaves. This work was inspired by the artist Henri Matisse and his cut-out art pieces. During the workshop Molly Mountford played the piano and Chardonnay Jones sang, and they even gave an impromptu concert at the end of the workshop. Many members of the general public came to see the exhibition and spoke to our students, with one person writing in the comments book that it was nice to speak to such knowledgeable students. The Minster students waved goodbye and took their forest paths away with them.
