Accelerated Reader initiative to improve literacy and encourage reading

Congratulations to Riona Joman in Year 7 and Alexa Liepina in Year 8 who are winners in the Accelerated Reader Bookmark Draw.
To improve the literary of our Year 7 and 8 students and encourage them to engage with reading, they are issued with an Accelerated Reader bookmark, which has five spaces for them to record the books they have read and how well they did on each respective quiz.
Once they have completed the bookmark by reading and quizzing five books they achieve 25 House points and swap it for a new bookmark.
At the end of each term, all completed bookmarks are entered into a prize draw with winners chosen in Year 7 and Year 8.
