We are thrilled to announce that Giles Academy student, Lola Panton, Year 7, has won the Aresson® National ‘design a rounders bat’ competition 2021.  Aresson® are the leaders in rounders bats and this national competition was run by Wilkinson Sports & Leisure.

Lola spent time creating a bright and fantastic tie dye design and the judging panel particularly loved her ‘summery design with its explosion of colour.’ Lola entered the competition led my Mrs Cooper, PE teacher and her design was sent in along with 84 entries from pupils from all year groups throughout the school. Lola’s design wins the Senior Category of the competition and she wins her unique winning design painted onto an Aresson® Vision X Bat for her to keep, which she will receive early next term.

Lola was delighted to receive her rounders bat today, which was presented by Mr Sinclair-SLAT Executive Deputy Headteacher and Mrs Cooper-PE.
