School staff join together to support 'Give A Gift' campaign
The staff from both Giles Academy and Spalding Academy have joined together to support The Spalding & South Holland Voice ‘Give A Gift’ campaign, which helps ensure less fortunate children aged between three and 14 years old have a gift to open on Christmas Day.
To help identify the appropriate gift to donate, staff chose a tag denoting the child’s gender and age. As always, the staff from both schools were extremely generous with their support of the project and all gifts will go to South Holland and Boston Child Services to distribute in time for Christmas.
On Monday 13th December, Mark LeSage of Ella’s Project came to collect the gifts on behalf of The Spalding & South Holland Voice and transport them back to the office ready for distribution in time for Christmas.
Daisy Bland, SLAT Assistant Headteacher said “We were once again overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity shown by staff at both Giles Academy and Spalding Academy. As a result of their compassionate donations, children who might not have done so otherwise, will now wake up to a gift on Christmas Day. We are delighted to be able to support this initiative that so closely mirrors the values of our Trust.”
