Winter Showcase is a festive treat of music and drama talents

For the perfect end of term event, our talented music and drama students from Years 7 to 11 performed a Winter Showcase to family and friends in the school hall at Giles Academy on Wednesday evening.
There was a mix of contemporary and modern songs along with festive classics and the drama group also performed a ‘Part-o-mime’ across four scenes that had the audience participating in true panto style. The finale featured all of the music students perform ‘Step Into Christmas’ to put everyone in the Christmas spirit.

Events such as this give our students the opportunity to demonstrate their performance skills and build their confidence. Judging by the talent on show, they are definitely ready to perform larger events in the school hall in the future.
Thank you to Ms Cocks (Music Lead) and Mr Robinson (Teacher of Drama) for organising the evening and working with our students as the standard of performances was exceptional. A special mention also goes to the Sixth Form music students from Bourne Academy for being our house band.
