Netball Club Christmas Party builds team spirit on and off court

All of the Netball teams at Giles Academy have enjoyed great success on the court over the past year competing against local schools and other schools in the Trust.

A key to that winning success is team spirit, and it is events such as our annual Netball Club Christmas Party for players in Years 7 and 8 that have helped develop an incredible bond between our students.

Students swapped their bibs for Christmas Jumpers and played a host of party games along with festive tunes. There were ingenious games that included use of netball equipment and students especially enjoyed playing the ‘human Christmas tree’ and ‘build a snowman’ games.

Mrs Cooper, Teacher of PE said “What a fantastic way to celebrate being a team and all the wonderful hard work the players have shown so far this year and to celebrate all the successes we have achieved! There will be plenty more matches on the way in the New Year so Netball Club continues in January on Tuesday 6th January 2026 for the start of the next set of fixtures.”
