Upper School Awards Evening recognises students achievements

Students, parents and staff from Bourne Academy, Cowley Academy, Giles Academy and Spalding Academy attended an important event together earlier this term, to celebrate the achievements of our former Year 11 and Year 13 students in a special Upper School Awards Evening.

This is the fifth time we have held this prestigious Trust-wide event that included all four schools in South Lincolnshire Academies Trust. The ceremony was hosted at the Springfields Events & Conference Centre in Spalding as it is a central location making it easier for as many people to attend.

There were over 300 students and parents in attendance and we are grateful that there was such an amazing turnout of guests for this occasion compered by Mrs Kilby (Headteacher at Cowley Academy) and Mrs Barber (Director of Post-16 and Careers). Mrs Curson (Chief Executive Officer) also opened the event with inspirational and motivational messages for our students. As well as the award presentations, the audience were treated to spectacular music performances with bands from Bourne Academy, Spalding Academy and Cowley Academy.

The event was a fantastic opportunity for the schools to celebrate and reward students for their hard work, dedication and achievements. Awards were presented by the Headteachers for all subject categories as well as Most Improved Student, Highest Attainment and Overall Achievement. We also introduced a new special recognition award this year for all schools and there were over 130 awards presented to all of the deserving students.

We wish all of the students every success in their future education and employment as they have bright futures ahead.

Congratulations to all the following students who were awarded trophies and certificates:
