Bedrock Vocabulary

All of our key stage 3 students benefit from an innovative literacy improvement tool called Bedrock Vocabulary. It is a website that helps children to learn very important academic vocabulary. As your child progresses through the Bedrock curriculum, they will study hundreds of words, whilst reading fiction and non-fiction texts regularly. Bedrock Vocabulary is all done on-line as part of Home Learning.

Bedrock Mapper has now also been introduced to our Year 10 and 11 students allowing them to access important vocabulary that complements their study of GCSE English Language and Literature, as well as being a tool for promoting disciplinary literacy across the curriculum.
