Today, all of the schools in our Trust joined together for a Children in Need non-uniform day and collectively we have raised over £3,500 for this worthwhile cause.

This year we asked for donations from as little as a few pence to a maximum of £1, Thank you to all of the families for their support as this amount will make a real difference for young people’s lives.

A special mention goes to Year 7 student Amber Sanderson who had her colourful spotty shirt made especially for the non-uniform day.

In addition to the non-uniform day, the catering team at Giles Academy baked over 100 Pudsey biscuits in aid of the charity. We can confirm that not only do they look really tempting, but they also tasted delicious!

Children in Need fund local charities and projects who help remove barriers that are facing children and young people, so that they can thrive. They support thousands of children and young people by a whole range of disadvantages such as poverty, disability, illness, distress or trauma.
