Traditional Christmas dinner is a 'cracker' with students and staff
Our students and staff didn’t have to wait until Christmas Day to get their Christmas dinner as our canteen has been serving everyone’s favourite meal of the year on Wednesday’s for the last two weeks.
The quality of the food produced for this meal was first class as everything is freshly prepared in our kitchen by Mrs Dodd and her dedicated team of catering staff. As you can see from the photos, we use fresh produce and the turkey is cooked and carved in our kitchen. It is really important that our canteen provides quality, affordable, nutritious and tasty meals for our students.
It was certainly a tempting meal with roast turkey, pigs in blankets, stuffing, roast potatoes, Brussels sprouts and carrots with gravy and cranberry sauce. For vegetarians there was a homemade Brie & Vegetable Wellington so everyone can enjoy this festive dinner together. There was also a choice of traditional festive desserts including Xmas Pudding and Mince Pies with custard.
The main meal was only £2.40 per person and everyone got a Christmas Cracker included.
