First games of the Netball season for Year 7 and Year 8 teams

Year 7 Girls Netball Team

Both of our Year 7 and Year 8 Netball teams were in action this week as they played matches against Cowley Academy.

For our Year 7 team, this was their first ever competitive match playing together and they quickly shown they had great teamwork as they were victorious winning 5-4. The team were all incredibly excited and thrilled with the final result in this tightly contested match. Congratulations to Libby Atkin who was the Players Player of the Match and Kayla Brookes who was the Coaches Player of the Match.

The Year 8 team had a more difficult match against Cowley Academy and came across a particularly strong Goal Attack. It was still an entertaining and competitive match where Cowley Academy won 6-1. The Players Player of the Match from the opposition were Faith Meeds and Ruby Mackay and the Coaches Player for this team was Sophie Simpson.

Well done to all of the players from both Years for their effort and commitment to the teams. We are already looking ahead to the games next week against Thomas Middlecott Academy.

Thank you also goes to Year 9 student Luciella Crowfoot who helped by scoring both of the matches.
