Golfers are on par at the new 'Giles Golf Rocks' sessions
Thanks to funding from The National Golf Foundation and the support from the Golf Professional at Boston West Golf Club, a fantastic new opportunity was available for our students to try out golf as we encourage students to try to new sports.
At our new ‘Giles Golf Rocks’ sessions, students have the opportunity to practice for an hour hitting unlimited golf balls on the driving range with individual coaching from the onsite golf professional.
The students were able to use the fantastic ‘Toptracer’ range technology to track the distances they were achieving and have fun playing golfing games.
This is a weekly club with plans for future coaching on the driving range, putting instruction and practice and then progress onto the course itself.
Mrs Cooper, Teacher of PE said “It was wonderful to see the first session of our new ‘Giles Golf Rock’s session underway this term. Their progress was amazing! A huge well done to all the students involved, it was fantastic to see their enthusiasm for an exciting new opportunity.”
