 SCHOOL UNIFORM:

We do have strict guidelines regarding uniform. It is important that your child is in the correct uniform with the correct footwear following the guidance set out online. Please click the link below for detailed information on our uniform

Uniform – Giles Academy

Our uniform supplier is Nationwide School Uniforms. Parents can purchase the uniform from Secondary School Uniform Shop and Supplier or you can visit their shop at Nationwide School Uniforms, Vale Road, Spilsby PE23 5HE. 

FIRST DAY:

If your child will be using school transport you will need to have made arrangements for this by applying to the local authority. The school does not arrange transport. 

On your child’s first day you will need to bring them to main reception for 8:45am . He/she will need to be in Giles Academy full school uniform wearing the correct footwear. Your child will need a pack lunch for his/her first day. 

All new starters for first few days at Giles Academy will be attending our Student Support room. Here they will receive a gentle introduction to Giles Academy, meeting key staff, a tour of the school and information they will need to know. Your child will be assigned a buddy to help them get to know the school and will be joining his/her peers at break and lunchtime to help him/her build their new friendships. 

The school day ends at 3:15pm. If your child uses a bus, he/she will need to make his/her way to our supervised areas. Please make sure your child knows to ask a member of staff where to go if he/she is unsure. Some buses drop off and pick up outside of the school grounds. You will need to check in advance where your child’s bus will be picking up from to ensure your child does not miss it.
