Girls Netball Team reach Netball Superzone Final for a second year
After the Year 10 Girls Netball Team won the District Netball League for a second year in a row and went unbeaten for the whole season, they made it through to the final of the South Lincolnshire Superzone Netball League against Bourne Grammar School.
They met Bourne Grammer in the Superzone final last season so knew it was going to be a tough match again. Our team gave their all and showed determination, resilience and team spirit but unfortunately had their first defeat of the whole season against a very strong team.
Special mentions on the day also go to Abbie Murray who was nominated Players Player of the Match by the opposition and Abbie Clarke who was selected the Coaches Player of the Match.
Mrs Cooper, Teacher of PE said “Congratulations to Bourne Grammar and a huge congratulations to all the Year 10 Giles Academy team players who worked so hard all season and won all the District matches to get to this point. It truly has been a team effort and we are all proud of their efforts.”
