Year 8 and Year 10 Netball Teams continue Giles winning form

Throughout the year groups, our netball teams have been achieving great results this season. The PE department run popular Netball Clubs after-school and this is where the students get to understand tactics and develop their skills, but they can also bond as a team.

Last week, the Year 8 and Year 10 both had great wins against Thomas Middlecott Academy. The Year 8 team won 6-3 with Darci Smith who is playing a year above her age being chosen as the Players Player, and Amber Jagger was the Coaches’ Player. It was an even bigger win for the Year 10 who won 12-7 with Vimbai Shahwe the Players Player and Luciella Crowfoot the Coaches’ Player.

If students would like to join a Netball Club, please see Mrs Cooper for a permission letter. The clubs take place on Tuesdays after school for Year 7 & 8 and Thursdays after school for Years 9, 10 & 11.
