Congratulations to the PE department on being finalists

This week our dedicated PE department were recognised for their ‘Giles Golf Rocks’ initiative at the Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Awards 2022.
Giles Academy were chosen as finalists for the ‘Contribution to Children & Young People Award’ and we were the only secondary school in the whole Lincolnshire who were selected as finalists for an award at this prestigious event.
Pictured above are Craig Dodd, Lucy Ward, Alex Reed, Sophie Hunter, Sarah Cooper and Chantelle Heasley. Sophie Hunter is a PGA Professional from Boston West Golf Club who helped deliver these fun lunchtime and after school sessions to 17 girls at Giles Academy.
The ‘Contribution to Children & Young People Award’ celebrates those who have made an outstanding contribution to providing opportunities for children and young people to have a positive experience of physical activity.
Congratulations to the whole department on being finalists and making the whole school incredibly proud.
