Overwhelming generosity from staff for Pilgrim Hospital Children’s Ward

Staff at Giles Academy have shown remarkable community spirit this Christmas, collecting and donating more than 75 gifts and toys for young patients at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston.

The donations, thoughtfully chosen for children aged 3 to 14, were personally delivered by Mrs Pell (Trust Education Director) and Miss Myers (Attendance Officer). Their initiative was driven by a desire to bring joy and festive cheer to children spending the holiday season away from home.

Staff on the children’s ward expressed heartfelt gratitude for the generosity. A ward spokesperson said “Children and their parents will be very thankful for a gift at Christmas. This is a lovely gesture, and we are truly humbled by all the gifts received from the staff at Giles Academy.”

This act of kindness highlights the Trust commitment to supporting its wider community and ensuring that even in difficult circumstances, children can experience the magic of Christmas.
