Geography student artwork to be used by artist for River of Hope project
Our Year 8 and Year 9 Geography students have been busy learning printmaking skills with local artist, Emily Cartwright as part of an exciting project called ‘River of Hope’, which will feature in Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant in June.
The artist visited Giles Academy for their final session last week where students have been creating designs to be collated and photographed by the artist so they can be used in the final design of a flag as part of the Jubilee parade.
As you can see from the creative work by our students, they have carefully thought about climate change, the environment and the ecosystem in their artwork.
