💙 Hello Team Blue! 💙
Welcome back to a brand new term! I hope you all had a well-deserved rest over the Easter break. I’m really looking forward to brighter days, more sunshine, and all of the exciting things this term has in store for us.
I want to start by saying how incredibly proud I am of everything you’ve achieved so far. Blue House is doing brilliantly — not only with house points, but also with attendance. That consistency, commitment, and team spirit really set you apart, and it’s fantastic to see. Keep it up!
To our amazing Year 11s, this is your moment. As you begin your GCSE exams, I want to wish you the very best of luck. You’ve worked so hard to get to this point, and you should be really proud of yourselves. Stay focused, believe in your abilities, and give it your all — we are all behind you every step of the way.
This term is full of opportunities, and I want to encourage everyone to get involved in as many competitions as possible. Every point counts, and every bit of participation helps strengthen our house. With summer events coming up, there’s so much to look forward to.
And of course… Sports Day is just around the corner — the biggest day of the year for our house system! I know the Blue House spirit will be out in full force, and I can’t wait to see you all giving it your all, supporting one another, and representing Team Blue with pride.
Let’s keep the momentum going, celebrate every success, and make this a term to remember.
Let’s go, Team Blue! 💙

Welcome Back, Yellow House!
May I start by welcoming you all back to the start of our Summer Term. I hope you have had a peaceful break and are ready to avail of the opportunities and challenges which lie ahead of us for the remainder of the academic year.
To all Year 11s who are beginning their GCSE examinations, I want to wish you the very best of luck. You have all worked incredibly hard to this point and hope you are able to show how much you have achieved in your years here at Giles. Remember to stay calm, pace yourselves and believe in your abilities. Everyone here is ready to support you, and watch you succeed.
To the rest of Yellow House, I would like to commend you on the resilience you have all shown since September. I am inspired by how you have represented your house this year with maturity, respect and determination. I hope that together we can keep that momentum going until the end of the year. We have, as a house team, plenty of opportunities to step towards our aspirations – be it in the classroom, on the sports field, or simply in how we support one another day to day.
Together, we climb.
Mr Waring
