Athletes to represent South Lincs in Cross Country Championships

We are proud to have seven students from Years 7 to 10 who have qualified to represent Giles Academy and South Lincolnshire in the County Cross Country Championships that will be held at Burghley House in January 2025.

The South Lincolnshire heat for the Cross Country Championships took place at the Princess Royal Sports Arena in Boston earlier this academic year and the great weather and good ground conditions helped our runners as they were keen to beat their own personal bests.

For some of the students, it was the first time they have competed in the event so our older students were glad to pass on their previous experience and knowledge.

A special mention goes to Melita Sablinskaite, Albie Daniels, Jacob Cooper and Florence Mackay who were placed in the top ten for their age group. Well done to everyone who competed and good luck to the following students who will be preparing to take part in the next stage of the Championships.
