Team spirit is a key ingredient for our Netball teams success
The Netball teams at Giles Academy have enjoyed plenty of success recently. As well as great skills and determination from all of our players, there is a real team spirit that is instilled by Mrs Cooper, Miss Ward and Miss Heasley.
To celebrate another successful year, the Year 7 and Year 8 Netball Teams had a Christmas Party at the end of term by swapping bibs for Christmas Jumpers and playing party games.
For the final competitive game of the year for our Year 7 team (pictured below), travelled to Thomas Middlecott Academy and came away with another victory by winning 6-5. Once the team took the lead they showed great confidence and retained the lead throughout the whole match. The Players Player was Lacey Bates and Coaches Player was Olivia Hilton.
Mrs Cooper, Miss Ward and Miss Heasley would like to a massive thank you the students in all Year groups who have regularly attended and enjoyed Netball Club. They have enjoyed working with everyone and look forward to more success in 2023.
