There was much excitement this week when Boston United Football Club (aka The Pilgrims) visited Giles Academy with their play-off winners trophy to celebrate being promoted to the Vanarama National League.
We were really grateful for the club to bring the winners trophy for students (and staff) to be part of the celebrations. Our school has forged close links with Boston United Community Foundation this year, as their coaching staff have worked with our students by running 10 weeks of training sessions after school at Giles Academy and their training ground.
It’s inspiring for students to see our local club be so successful and climbing up the football ladder. We wish everyone at Boston United FC another successful season – no doubt many of our students and staff will be in the stands cheering them on.
We will also soon be returning back to the home of Boston United FC as the Year 11 Celebration Prom takes place at The Jakemans Community Stadium next month.
