Year 10 Team are winners of District Netball League for a second year

Our Year 10 Girls Netball Team have continued their success from winning the Year 9 Boston Schools Netball League last year – to only go and win it again for a second year in a row!

They didn’t just win the league, but they were unbeaten all season and scored an incredible 51 goals in the league matches and concede only 15. This shows the strength from defence to attack and we are always impressed with how the team have shown confidence, determination and a huge team spirit in every game.

As champions of their league, Giles Academy will now go through to the Superzone final in May 2023.

Congratulations to Evie, Lexi, Luciella, Abbie, Ruby, Tillie, Martyna, Abbie, Isabella, Willow and Charlotte who have contributed to this success throughout the season. A massive thank you also goes to Mrs Cooper, Miss Ward and Miss Heasley for all their hard work and dedication to this team.

As well as Year 10 winning their league, we are also pleased to announce that the Year 7 and Year 9 teams came second in their district leagues showing that Giles have future stars in the making.
