It was the turn of our Year 9 Netball team to compete in the SLAT sports tournament where they played in three friendly games against the other schools in our Trust, which included Bourne Academy, Cowley Academy and Spalding Academy.
The competition was incredibly close as Giles, Spalding and Bourne all finished tied for first place as all teams achieved 11 points when they all won one game and drew two games. The Giles team gave everything in an exciting final game against Spalding which was end-to-end and finished 7-7. Giles finished joint top and only missed out on goal difference of +1 compared to winners Spalding who had +8.
Mrs Cooper, Teacher of PE said “Well done to all of the students for participating in a really impressive evening of netball. Congratulations of Luciella Crowfoot for receiving the Players Player from every opposition team we played against.”
