Young authors have their poems published in 'I Have a Dream' book

Throughout the academic year, the Trust promotes a variety of different literacy competitions designed to promote creativity, confidence and a love of writing.

We proudly partnered with ‘Young Writers’, who are a national organisation celebrating poetry and creative writing for Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 students, and launched the ‘I Have a Dream’ poetry competition by inviting students to craft poems inspired by dreams.

The response was outstanding, with students demonstrating impressive imagination, thoughtful ideas and a growing confidence in expressing themselves through poetry

We are especially proud that 33 students from Giles Academy had their fantastic poems selected for the ‘I Have a Dream – Whispers of Imagination’ anthology, which has now been published as a printed book.

This is an incredible achievement that reflects both the talent, creativity and dedication of our young authors. A huge well done to all our poets and a special thank you to the English team for their support and encouragement throughout the competition.
